Valley of Flowers National Park situated in West Himalaya. This National park rich with beautiful and rare flowers and trees, endowed with various in endemic flora. This National park is the home of endangered animal types. You may see ample kinds of animals like Asiatic black deer, deer, snow leopard, red fox, brown color bear, and blue sheep. As per Hindu Mythology, Legends says, Lord Hanuman had collected the Sanjeevani medicine from Valley of Flowers to cure Lord Laxman.
The distance is around 300km from Haridwar and 500km from New Delhi. The date mentioned by Valley of flowers National Park offices, is this park will start from 1st June 2020 will be closed on 4th October 2020. The timing of this National Park is from 7 AM to 2 PM every day. People supposed to leave the Valley by 5 PM every day. You also can see Rataban Peak from Ghangaria to the Valley of Flowers. This place has flora having the beautiful backdrop of the mountains as well.
History:
People say this is the place where God threw flowers to took root on Earth. This history entirely made by nature, so it offers unbelievable peace of mind. According to Hindu Mythology, it refers that this was the “Nandan Kanan” (The Indra’s Garden). It’s also believed that Lord Laxman mediated on the bank of Hemkund. There is little Temple of Lokpal that dedicated to Lord Laxman. The ‘Valley of Flower’ was given in 1931.
This place is sacred by Sikh and Hindus. Hemkund is the place, which located in Valley National Park, where Granth Sahib, Guru Gobind Singh, is believed to had meditation in his previous life.
There is various history for this place as per the Hindu Mythology. Some peoples told Lord Laxman taken the bank of a river while getting a fight with Demon Ravana’s son. At that time, he severely injured. So Lord Hanuman, who was the Sincere devotee of Lord Ram, was found lifesaving medicine in here only. So, it said that in the celebration of life saved of Lord Laxman, these flowers showered from heaven.
Wild Life in Valley:
This beautiful place is nearby Hemkund Sahib. In Valley National Park, you will see animals like Mammals as a Himalayan musk deer, black bear, Himalayan tahr and snow leopard, etc. In this place, many of the rare herb you will find. The blue flowers attract several butterflies. These are available in large quantities and a variety of variables found in this national park.

The best time to visit National Park is between June and September as the snow starts to melt in May.

Jolly Grant is the nearest airport, and Rishikesh is the nearest railway station for this National Park. The nearest town for this park is Joshimath.
