Near the Gaurikund, there are few springs available, where people are taking a bath before to start Kedarnath Trip. Also, this lake is known as Gauri Lake or Parvati Lake. Gauri Kund is the place where Parvati had inhaled life into Lord Ganesha. So many of devotees believed this lake is a holy lake to take ritual bath here. Unfortunately, after the 2013 flood, now their small stream available in place of Kund. Unhappily, after the 2013 floods, there is only a tiny stream of water flowing in area of the Gaurikund.
